Infant (0-6 month) Gift Guide

Do you have an itty bitty one that you are shopping for this Christmas? While these little ones may not be able to show or tell you what they want, it is still fun filling their stockings with little goodies. This gift guide is composed of items that I personally purchased for my own babes. My youngest is 7 months old so we are just transitioning out of the teeny baby stage. These products were loved both by my baby and me throughout those precious first 6 months.

1.Melissa and Doug Peek-A-Boo Book

This book is a great interactive soft book for infants. It has many flaps on each page that lift to reveal different images and characters. The flaps are made of different materials, and some make noise when crinkled. If the crinkle noises don’t grab your little one’s attention the bright thematic pages will. We have used this book on many occasion to keep our son occupied and quiet during church or nice dinners. It is the perfect toy to throw into your diaper bag on the way our the door.

2.Kickee Pants Footie Pajamas

We grew to love these pajamas with our first son, and continue to love them with our second. The light weight softness of the viscose from bamboo and spandex fabric has been perfect for my baby’s sensitive skin. When buying, I would suggest looking into getting a pair with a zipper rather than snaps. Buttoning twenty snaps can make for very frustrating late night diaper changes.

3.Ryan & Rose Cutie Clip

This is a new company that I was able to try out with my second son. I instantly fell in love. One of my favorite things about this company is the fact that it is Christian owned and every single product that is shipped out to costumers is prayed over. The pacifier clips that they make are wonderful. They are cute, functional, and very safe. In fact the clips are CPSIA tested, safe, and certified. I actually just placed an order for another clip for my son for Christmas and am anxious for it to arrive.

4.Slumberkins Snuggler

This sweet snuggle buddy and my second son still spend time together daily. This snuggler is like a stuffed animal, except for its body is flat allowing for little arms to wrap around their torso and pull them close. The Slumberkins company not only produces extremely adorable snuggle creatures, but they also support early emotional learning. Each snuggler represents a different emotion and has accompanying books that can be bought to help children learn how to handle and express emotions that may be new and confusing for them.

5.B Toys Light Up Cloud Rattle

I originally stumbled on this toy by chance. I was walking through Target with my first son. He was not happy and crying. I grabbed the toy to quiet him down and it never went back on the self. I love how this toy lights up while also functioning as a teether and rattle. The light up function is soft and comforting rather than harsh and annoying which I really appreciated. I also liked how this toy was useful throughout my baby’s entire first year. When he was really little he would just stare at the lights and later on he grew into using the teether and rattle.

6.Lou Lou & Company Knit Swaddle

I don’t know what to say other than I am obsessed with these swaddles. I have an abundance of swaddles left over from my first son, but none of them hold a candle to the Lou Lou & Company swaddle blankets. The knit fabric gives you the perfect amount of stretch to swaddle up your teeny tiny love tightly and securely. I found that it took longer for my son to wiggle out of these swaddle blankets than others. Also, the colors and styles of these swaddle blankets are on point. My son no longer needs to be swaddled and I am still tempted to load up my shopping cart.

7.Little Giraffe Chenille Blanky

If you need a high quality lovey for your babe, this is it. This company makes the coziest, softest blankets. My son is snuggling with his in his swing as I type this. I can also testify that they hold up well with use and washing. My oldest son is two and a half. He has had his blanket since birth and we are just now looking to replace it.

8.Lou Lou & Company Knotted Gown

These gowns are made out of the same material as the swaddles that I am obsessed with. I never had my oldest son wear knotted gowns, and boy was I missing out. diaper changes are a breeze with these things. And lets be honest who doesn’t want a cute little baby merman or mermaid!

9.BIBS Pacifiers

When I realized that my son was unable to keep a pacifier in his mouth I began to get nervous. I know that babies don’t need pacifiers, but it is nice to have them for long car rides or events. I literally tried every shape of pacifier and nothing stuck, that is until I tried the BIBS pacifiers. The round bulb nipple was just what my son needed. He is now hooked and still won’t take any other pacifier. I also like how they are mode out of natural rubber These work magic if you are having trouble with pacifiers. Plus they come in lots of cute colors.

10. Ryan & Rose Teether

Yay! Another product from Ryan & Rose. We love this teether. It has been awesome for our rough teething days. not only is it a teether, but also a rattle. It comes in lots of different colors and is super easy to care for and clean. Something that I discovered recently was that it actually fits over my small hand and around my wrist. This proved to be helpful as I was running errands and didn’t have a place to store it while my babe was not using it. These teethers can also attach onto the cutie clips so that if your babe drops it, it does not go very far.
