New Mama Holiday Gift Guide

Do you have a new mama you are shopping for this Holiday season. It is always fun buying sweet little things for the new bundles of joy in our lives, but we should not forget their mamas and all the hard work they put in. This gift guide is short and sweet. It contains 10 items that I personally have or are on my currant personal wish list.

1.Yeti 14oz Tumbler Mug

If your coffee is sitting in the microwave after being reheated for the third time today, then this is for you. I love that this stainless steel insulated tumbler still has the feel of a coffee mug. This tumbler also comes with a lid so that one of your sweet littles is less likely to knock over your precious caffeine. Pick out your favorite color and be ready to enjoy your coffee all morning without trips to the microwave.

2.Living Proof Dry Shampoo

While cleanliness is a priority, the frequency of hair washing drastically declines once children come into the picture. This is the best dry shampoo that I have found. My hair is super fine and thin so it gets greasy very very fast. This dry shampoo has helped me stretch out my hair days without having to constantly throw a hat on.

3.Silhouette Necklace

These necklaces are something that are on my personal wish list. They are so dainty and give a classy personal touch to nearly any outfit. I think it such a sweet memento of your loved ones. It is also a sweet memory to look back on as your little ones’ profiles change.

4.Erin Condren Life Planner

Life is crazy, and it just gets crazier once you have kids. I first started using Erin Condren planners when I was a Kindergarten teacher and I instantly became hooked. I loved having everything laid out in color coordinated writing with cute accent stickers. I know that you can easily keep an electronic calendar on your phone, but there is just something about writing everything down that helps me organize my overwhelmed mommy mind a little better. Plus the sweet up lifting quotes and fun colors don’t hurt either.

5.Barefoot Dreams Blanket

I may have a slight obsession with blankets, and this one is next on my list to get. I have heard great things about how cozy and soft these blankets are. If you own any of the Barefoot Dreams products then you know what I am talking about. You really can’t go wrong with getting a new mama a blanket. whether we are snuggling with our coffee in the morning before the kids get up, snuggling in with our sweet kids on those chilly days, or snuggling with a good book or movie after the kids go to bed, it seems like we are always snuggling.

6.Lush Bath Bombs

Nearly every new mom dreams of the day that she will be able to soak in a warm bath after her littles are tucked into bed. Why not make that well deserved bath even more special with some bath bombs. While baths are far and few in between for me, I do enjoy a good bath bomb. I especially like using Lush product because I know that they take pride in using the best and safest ingredients in their bath bombs. That way when curious little eyes catch a glimpse of mom’s fizzing bath bomb I don’t have to feel anxious about harmful chemicals when letting them try one for themselves.

7. Ugg Dakota Slipper

Cozy feet are a must when you are chasing after your kiddos. These are on my list because 1. they are adorable and 2. they are a moccasin style rather than slide on. There is a good reason that I say stay away from slide on slippers for new mamas. With our first child, I brought my cute Ugg slide on slippers to the hospital and was so excited to wear them. Lets just say that those slippers didn’t go further than two steps in the hospital. I was walking up and down the halls multiple times a day after I gave birth. I found that after giving birth I did not have the muscle strength, and quite honestly did not want to exert the energy needed to keep the slide on slippers on my feet. every time i tried to walk in them they would just plop right off unless i scrunched my toes as hard as I could. It just was not worth it. For the birth of our second son I brought a pair of moccasins, was able to walk, and loved them!

9.Dwell and Slumber Cocoon Dress

Comfy and functional are the two words that come to mind when looking for postpartum clothes. The Dwell and Slumber dresses are extremely comfortable, functional, and look super cute. These dresses are advertised as a piece of your wardrobe that you can wear when you are out and about as well as when you are lounging at home. I personally have a cocoon dress and it is my top choice to wear around the house every morning. I love how it as snaps on the top to make nursing a new babe a breeze. The length is perfect too. It is short enough where I don’t feel like I am tripping over it and it is long enough where I am not worried about bending over. This dress has easily become my mom uniform.

10.Personalized Key Chain

I had a hard time keeping track of my keys before I had kids, but now they routinely get lost in diaper bags, car seats, strollers, you name it…. I have found that having a larger key chain on my keys helps me keep track of them. It is also easier to hook them onto my diaper bag so that I know they are not going to fall out. Plus they make your boring car keys look that much cuter! I have not personally purchased the one that is linked.
